♡ Kim Jong Kook First Malaysia Showcase ♡

share everything I remember from yesterday’s showcase, you can tell from the
post’s title so without further due…
Kim Jong Kook a.k.a
Sparta, the Commander, Tiger, 꾹이 (kookie), Coach Kook, Kookminator,
One Man (what do I miss?) finally flew to Malaysia and held his first showcase
here on the 14th June 2013. It was held at HGH Convention Centre,
Sentul KL and scheduled to start at 8 p.m. but the hall will be opened by 6.30
p.m.
I went there with my
eldest sis, younger brother and three friends (Tami, Stefani and Michael). We
set off at 3.30p.m from our place, estimating that there would be traffic jam
and since we have never been there, reaching early was probably better and we
reached there around 5.30 p.m. We were
so lucky, since we reached early we got to park the car in which the opposite
of the HGH convention Centre building there is a house with big yard and we saw
quite many cars were parked there, remember I was saying we were so lucky? We
got the last parking spot! Hooray!
Suddenly out of
nowhere my friend spotted Jong Kook’s manager, Kim Gap Jin, we saw him coming down the stairs and we quickly rushed to the hall. I was really excited seeing him up
close, as he often appeared on running man, and got to take a picture with him!
Time is ticking (my
watch showed 7.30 p.m.) so we hurriedly went to collect the photo passes (top
up RM 100/person) and after that with much chit-chatting cause we were all so
excited, we finally entered the hall. We were seated at the VIP area, row BC,
which is in my opinion was okay, although it was quite far from the stage, but
we were seated in the middle facing the stage so overall the view was decent
and worthy.
The long awaited
showcase has officially started at 8.15 p.m. (quite delayed) and the showcase was
hosted by One Fm’s DJ Yoon J As promised, in the
showcase Jong Kook will be singing live songs and play game with the fans, not to
mention lucky fans. So DJ Yoon started
with drawings random tickets to pick those lucky fans to play the first game.
After that, two singers being the opening act for the showcase: Virus and Henley, they were good!
Then…..*drum rolls*
FINALLY KJK SHOWED UP ON THE STAGE!!! He started his showcase by performing one
of his hit songs (all his songs are nice, no doubt!) “Today more than
yesterday”. Next the interview section, where he was asked these few questions:
1) What does he
feel about running man? The emcee said about him bullying Gary and Kwangsoo.
He said that he got angry because of Kwangsoo. KJK trusted him so much but
Kwangsoo always betrays him and he is shocked every time. He also said that
they are really close to each other, they go out 4 to 5 times a week and told
the fans not too misunderstand: P
2) Any member
from running man you wish not to be in the same team with? All the fans
were shouting JI SUK JIN…then KJK said don’t tell him okay and he said JSJ
hahaha
3) What is the most impressive memory
that you have in your life? Prizes for the three broadcasting companies as
a singer as being the first place. (I
heard someone said Yoon Eun Hye hahaha)
4) Did you
ever cry? He jokingly said when
he was born. He then said that when he is drunk when he is upset. He also said
he want to kill Cha Tae Hyun (his best friend) for revealing this
5) Do you ever
expect that Running Man would be this big, very successful? No, he didn’t expect it at all. He is really
grateful for not only Korean fans but fans all around the world.
6) Why do you
think people gave you “SPARTA” as a nickname? He said cause of his body then he added that he is not the kind of
“aggressive” and “tough” guy.
Then to end the
interview, he said, “Just do whatever you want”, when Yoon asked him if there’s
anything he want to tell or remind his fans before proceeding for the games.
(Oh oh. I was impressed, despite having a translator,
KJK spoke mostly English throughout the showcase)
As for the games or
activities:
The first game was
flamingo/chicken fight: where KJK stood in the circle and a pair of two have to
pushed him outside the circle and by holding one of their legs.
The second game was
protecting the king and involved ripping nametags too. Fans were able to see
KJK “fast-hand” and his technique in ripping the nametag.
The third game was about
his so called “ideal/dream girl”: big eyes, round face, tan skin, like to wear skirts,
wear sneakers, long hair etc. and guess what?.... OH MY GOD! I actually got
pointed out and picked by him! It was unbelievable at the very moment and I was
thrilled. I think I got picked because of the placard I made which said “PICK
ME”, worth making it eh? :D so five girls were chosen and were asked why you
think you should be KJK ideal girl something like that.. I stood on the stage
and got to see his face real close, face-to-face…nervous. In the end I just
said “Oppa, saranghaeyo.” On the stage, I covered my face with my palms and
fidgeted so much (due to happiness and nervousness). Anyways, I got to hug him!
Jealous much? :P as you know his body are built in muscles so when I hugged him
it felt like I was hugging a rock, literally.
(TOO HAPPY THAT I GOT TO SAW HIM REAL CLOSE & HUGGED HIM ♡♡♡)
The fourth game was
passing the hula hoop with linked arms and the players were not allowed to
touch it and you will be eliminated if the music stops and the hula hoop was
stuck on you. KJK got punished twice, not sure whether it was on purpose or not,
but he showed his arm muscle and he
did the gwiyomi player as well
hehehe
The other songs that
KJK performed were “ Men are all like that”, “Don’t be good to me”, “Sunshine
and Love”, “Loveable”, Turbo’s “Twist King” and for the encore “That One Man”.
The music video of “Letter” was shown during the break.
KJK also said, "It's okay if we do not understand the lyrics, but he tries to deliver the message
of the songs by his emotions and he is singing with full of emotion so the fans
will understand his feelings (aww) Overall he has a soft, sweet, soothing and
unusually high pitched voice (mosquito voice :P) that creates “eargasm” when
listening to his songs loll (sorry for being over here hehe)
After the event finished,
we finally got to take two pictures with him! Unfortunately no personal cameras
or anything allowed, but I can’t wait to see the official photos. The photo
session was arranged by a group of 8 and KJK sitting in the middle. All of us
got to handshake with him, yes my second time :P and when he saw me again he
was like “Oh!” *smiles* (He remembers me!!)
This is absolutely a
night to remember, one of the best night of my life cause you know why :P but
of course I really enjoyed the whole event, DAEBAK! I am very grateful and
would like to thank New Pro Star, PMP Entertainment and Running into the Sun
for organizing this event and making it happen!
